Video Transcript

STEVE SCHLEICHER: Do you recall what the defendant told you?

DAVID PLEOGER: He said he knelt on Floyd, or knelt on his neck, something of that nature. I don't recall his exact words.

STEVE SCHLEICHER: And is that the first time you became aware that force had been applied to Mr. Floyd's neck?

DAVID PLEOGER: Yes.

STEVE SCHLEICHER: Did the defendant tell you how long he had applied pressure to or restrain Mr. Floyd and apply pressure to his neck?

DAVID PLEOGER: No.

STEVE SCHLEICHER: At some point, did you receive yet another update on Mr. Floyd's medical condition?

DAVID PLEOGER: I did. Someone approached me and let me know that he passed away.

ERIC NELSON: --you were initially on scene, you had no information that Mr. Floyd was deceased. Right?

DAVID PLEOGER: Correct.

ERIC NELSON: Do you deal with the medical attention and ignore the threat, or do you deal with the threat and then deal with the medical attention?

DAVID PLEOGER: I guess you'd have to deal with both kind of simultaneously.
