Supply chain shortages delay middle school work

MACOMB — Supply chain shortages mean work on the new Macomb Middle School is experiencing some delays and will not be finished for use until later this year.

Patrick Twomey, Superintendent of Macomb Schools said the intended move in date has been changed to Christmas break this year.

“They have the portion of the building that's up, it is enclosed and being heated,” Twomey said. “The plumbing and electrical work are being completed on the inside.”

“We still think the other panels will be available to begin to erect on the west side of the building this spring. This would still allow for completion of the building sometime late in the fall,” he said.
