The game was tight late, but Bronson did just enough to come away with the win.

It was a big win for the Vikings, who secured their first victory on the road this season. The win for Bronson came by way of a 53-46 score over Constantine.

“That was our first road win and we don’t have districts at home this year, so we need to learn how to win on the road. We had some guys step up and play big minutes for us today,” Bronson coach Damien Loveless said. “We’ve improved since Monday.”

The Vikings started out hot but faded late on Monday, losing at Sturgis. The quick turnaround for Bronson gave them an opportunity on the road, and it was one they took advantage of in earning the win.

Bronson wants to be playing solid basketball right now, but the goal is to continue to get better as the season winds down as well.

“At the end of the day, the end goal is March, we’ve said that since Day 1,” Loveless said. “We have a long way to go in order to get there, we have to knock some things off our checklist.”

Bronson and Constantine were tied 37-37 heading into the final quarter. The Vikings then put up 16 points in the fourth, including scoring eight of the games’ final points. Constantine led 46-45 prior to that.

Free throws from Aden Hathaway and Kamron Brackett late helped seal the win. For the game, the Vikings were just 11-of-20 from the foul line, but finished 5-of-8 in the fourth.

Both Brackett and Hathaway scored 16 points to help Bronson pick up the road win. Tanner Norton, Boston Bucklin and Saylor Wotta all scored six points each. Ashton Wells connected for two, Miles Losinski made a free throw.

Constantine was led by Dean Topolski with 17 points. Lukas Hagenbuch added nine points, Isaac Moore connected for seven. Joshua Outlaw scored four points, both Carter McGee and Rushawn James hit a 3-pointer for the Falcons.
