SPOILER ALERT: Spoilers for the Game Of Thrones finale ahead…

Game Of Thrones is officially done. The finale of the TV series, which has been in our lives for eight years, came to an end this week, and we’re still not sure how to feel about the whole thing. Are we allowed to genuinely feel heartbroken that it’s over?

(Yes you are)

As well as being heartbroken that the series is over, we were also crushed (not literally) when Jaime Lannister was killed off in the penultimate episode. He was crushed (literally) by Red Keep rubble when he ran back to sister/girlfriend Cersei Lannister as King’s Landing was being attacked by Daenerys and Drogon.

Before the series aired, we spoke to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as we wanted to know if there was a Game Of Thrones scene he couldn’t face watching. We were expecting him to say one of the truly gruesome deaths, but instead he came up with this: the scene where Robin Arryn is being breastfed by his mother Lysa Arryn.

Nikolaj told Cosmopolitan UK, “The most messed-up thing was what’s-his-name – the kid who had to suck on his mum’s… That was so disgusting.

“I thought it made sense in that relationship but. I just couldn’t make myself watch that scene – I had to look away.”

In case you missed it, Robin returned for the finale, much to the excitement of fans. So we guess everyone’s forgiven him for the whole being-breast-fed-as-a-pre-teen thing. But has Nikolaj? We may never know…

Nickolaj added that there was one death scene that made for uncomfortable viewing though.

“I think the darkest [GOT] scene was the burning of Shireen.

“I thought it was brilliant and true to the story, and it made sense. But it was so painful.”
