Survivors, bodies of sunken trawler crew arrive in Spain

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez greeted and consoled the three sole survivors of the Villa de Pitanxo's 24 crew members on the tarmac of the Lavacolla military base.

Later coffins carrying the remains of five crew members were seen being taken off the military plane.

The Villa de Pitanxo sank around 280 miles (450 km) east-southeast of Newfoundland in the early hours of February 15th.

The other four recovered bodies have been transported to their home country of Peru.

Twelve crew members remain missing but Canadian rescue officials suspended their search last Wednesday.
