Suspect arrested in connection to shooting on Forrest Road, armed robbery on Pollman Street: Columbus Police

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A man has been arrested in connection to an armed robbery and a shooting on Forrest Road back in January, according to the Columbus Police Department.

Jy’Quarious Shealy was taken into custody in Warner Robins on Monday, Feb. 26 and extradited back to Columbus.

The arrest stems back to January 14 when two women were injured in a shooting at the Sunoco in the 4000 block of Forrest Road. Police say Shealy is also a suspect in an armed robbery that happened two days after the double shooting at the 5600 block of Pollman Street.

Shealy is facing the following charges:

  • Two counts of aggravated assault

  • Two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime

  • Armed robbery

Shealy is expected to appear in Recorder’s Court on Thursday at 2 p.m.

Additional arrests are pending, according to CPD.
