Police have identified the armed suspect who exchanged gunfire with police officers and then barricaded himself inside his house in Yonkers Saturday.
- New information tonight on that seven-hour standoff between police and an armed man barricaded in a home in Westchester County. That man is dead after reportedly taking his own life. Police were called to a home on Livingston Avenue in Yonkers this morning to check on an emotionally disturbed person. Officers say a 50-year-old man answered the door with a rifle in hand and started firing at them. Crisis negotiators moved in to try and resolve the situation as streets were blocked off. But when police finally got inside the home, they say they found the man dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No one else was hurt.
