Suspect in second Grambling homecoming shooting arrested

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office announced Friday it has arrested the alleged shooter in the second Grambling State University homecoming shooting.

The shooting occurred Oct. 17 at 1:15 a.m. in the quad area of GSU's campus. The shooting left a non-student dead and a student injured.

The suspect in the second shooting was identified as Ahmad Green. Green was booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center where he was charged with first degree murder and first degree attempted murder.

The bail was set at $4 million.

The Oct. 17 shooting was the second fatal shooting on GSU's campus during the school's homecoming week.

The first shooting occurred at 1:08 a.m. on Oct. 13 at a non-sanctioned event on campus which left a non-student dead. A suspect was identified in the shooting and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
