Suspect in series of Louisville and Jefferson County burglaries arrested

Dec. 15—Louisville police announced Wednesday morning that a man suspected of a series of burglaries was arrested.

Titus Emilyon, 38, was arrested on charges of four counts of second-degree burglary, one count of felony criminal mischief with damages between $5,000 and $20,000 and one count of theft between $1,000 and $2,000.

According to a Louisville police news release, Emilyon is suspected in connection with four separate commercial burglaries in Louisville last month: two on Nov. 16, at Busaba Restaurant and Lamar's Donuts and Coffee, and two on Nov. 29, at Lucca Coffee & Eatery and Precision Pours Coffee.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of Emilyon on Dec. 2 in connection with six burglaries in Kittredge and Evergreen, a JCSO news release stated. Three of those took place in Evergreen on Nov. 2, and another three in Kittredge on the night of Emilyon's arrest. Deputies said they found the suspect inside his vehicle, a silver 2008 Ford Escape, on Colo. 74, less than 2 miles west of the Kittredge burglaries.

Emilyon has been charged in Jefferson County with second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor theft. After Emilyon's arrest in Jefferson County, Louisville detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Emilyon in connection with the Louisville burglaries. The suspect remains in custody in Jefferson County.

Colorado court records show Emilyon has an extensive criminal history dating back to 2002, with numerous burglary, criminal mischief and theft convictions and referrals to the Colorado Department of Corrections from the Denver and Jefferson County Courts. He has no record of other offenses in Boulder County.

JCSO is also investigating nearly 20 other commercial burglaries that have taken place in unincorporated Jefferson County since Oct. 30, and it hasn't been determined yet whether Emilyon was involved in these incidents, the JCSO news release stated. Investigators are collaborating with the Clear Creek and Boulder County Sheriff's offices as well as other jurisdictions to look into possible connections with recent commercial burglaries in those areas.
