Suspect killed in second officer-involved shooting Sunday

UPDATE 10 P.M. 05/05/2024

Police confirmed that the suspect shot during an officer-involved shooting Sunday night has died.

Earlier tonight, officers said a man came outside a home near 7400 Northwest 106th Street and was armed, that’s when shots were fired.

“That person unfortunately did pass away from, from that shooting here at the scene,” said Captain Valerie Littlejohn with OKCPD. “That’s still all under investigation. Again, we’re going to watch all our body-worn cameras, we’re going to talk to all the witnesses and the officers involved to determine what exactly led up to the shooting.”

The officer involved is said to have been placed on paid administrative leave.
