Suspect turns himself in after hit and run in Warner Robins. Victim still hospitalized

A suspect turned himself in Tuesday in a hit and run that left the victim hospitalized.

The Warner Robins Police Department said Dustin Nelson turned himself in after the hit and run which happened last month. The victim from the crash is still hospitalized, police said.

On March 30, police said they responded to a welfare check regarding a person lying near the road of Watson Boulevard.

Police said the person had been struck by a vehicle and they were taken to a nearby hospital.

The vehicle was found on April 5 and it belonged to Nelson. The Warner Robins Police Department said Nelson had active warrants for the incident, according to police

Nelson faces charges for felony hit and run and failure to report an accident with injury.
