Suspected drunken driver sends vehicle through front of laundromat

Jun. 1—Police said a woman drove her SUV through the front of a laundromat in south Boulder on Monday.

Boulder police spokeswoman Shannon Aulabaugh said the crash happened at Table Mesa Laundromat, 695 South Broadway.

Aulabaugh said a woman drove her Mercedes SUV over the curb, over a bush, between two brick columns and through the front door of the laundromat, narrowly missing people who were seated in the business.

The front of the business sustained heavy damage, but there were no reported injuries.

The driver was suspected of driving under the influence and given a ticket for DUI, Aulabaugh said.
