A 47-year old woman was arrested for suspected for Felony DUI collision causing injury after she crashed into two cars on Thursday night on G Street.

A suspected DUI collision sent two people to the hospital and left four vehicles damaged on G Street in Merced, according to police.

The collision occurred at 7:06 p.m. Thursday, when Lori Gallo, 47, was driving her 2022 Maserati south on G Street at more than 125 mph, according to police. While approaching Cardella Road, Gallo attempted to pass a Lexus going south on G Street, but her vehicle sideswiped the Lexus.

The impact caused the Maserati and Lexus to go into a ditch several hundred feet away.

A fourth car was damaged after it hit a tire and wheel that were torn off the Maserati and left in the roadway.

The drivers of the Lexus and Honda were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Officers said they were able to determine that Gallo was driving under the influence, with a blood alcohol content over twice the legal limit.

Gallo was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI collision causing injury and booked into Merced County Jail.
