Unknown guerrillas set fire to railway equipment in the Kirov and Vladimir oblasts of Russia, Russian media outlet Baza claimed on July 8.

In the early hours of July 8, two relay cabinets and one battery cabinet were set on fire in Vladimir Oblast of Russia, Baza alleges, saying that a chisel, two corks from fiveliter bottles, and a box of matches were found at the site of the blaze.

The outlet reports that a similar incident took place in Kirov Oblast. There,a relay cabinet on the Kirov-Krasnoselsky railroad stretch burned down completely. As a result, passenger trains on the Abakan-Moscow and Vladivostok-Moscow routes were delayed by 20 minutes.

Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the number of sabotage and arson attacks has increased in Russia. On May 2, Russian guerrillas carried out two explosions on the railway in Bryansk Oblast. As a result, 20 freight cars carrying metal, nitrate, and oil products were derailed.
