Suspects accused of stealing woman’s purse in Superlo Foods

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police Department is currently looking for two suspects accused of stealing a woman’s purse at Superlo Foods in East Memphis on Monday.

According to Memphis Police, they responded to a robbery call around 5:19 p.m. at Superlo Food on Spotswood Avenue. The victim stated she was shopping when one of the suspects “snatched’ her purse from the basket.

When the victim attempted to take her purse back, the suspect allegedly assaulted her before leaving the scene with the purse.

MPD: Teen carjacks Methodist Hospital employee

MPD says the suspects drove westbound in a silver Chevrolet Trailblazer with a broken side window.

The victim received minor injuries due to the attack.

The two suspects later made several fraudulent charges at various stores using the victim’s cards, according to reports.

This is still an ongoing investigation, but no arrests have been made at this time.
