Suspended officer to be released after crash, arrest
A suspended Baltimore City police officer will be released on bail after spending Tuesday night at Central Booking after her arrest the day before. City police said officers arrested Unique Sheppard following a car crash just after 4:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of South Mount and West Pratt streets in southwest Baltimore and a foot chase. Sheppard, 23, is accused of illegally carrying a loaded handgun. She appeared Tuesday before a judge via video conference for a bail review on two criminal counts.
