Swampscott High School To Host Coronavirus Vaccination Clinic

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott students in need of a coronavirus vaccination and residents eligible for a booster shot are invited to get their next dose at the Swampscott High School clinic on Thursday.

Swampscott Public Schools is partnering with VaxinateRx and Healthcare Family Pharmacy to offer the Pfizer vaccine. The clinic will be held in the cafeteria from 3 to 7 p.m.

The Pfizer vaccine is available to all those ages 5 through 17 seeding a first dose or second dose at least three weeks after the first dose, as well as all those 12 and older who are in need of a booster shot six months removed from their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna or two months removed from a dose of Johnson & Johnson.

Those getting a second shot or booster shot should bring their vaccination card with them. Pre-registration can be done here. Those needing to change or cancel appointments can email info@VaxinateRx.com.

"As a reminder, you must inform the school of your child's vaccination status and booster by filling out the SPS Student COVID-19 Vaccination Form," Swampscott Public Schools Occupational Nurse Amanda Mulcahy said. "This will not be done automatically if you attend one of our school clinics."

Those who register are asked to enter through the side door where volunteers will help complete registration, get checked in and sign any consent forms necessary.

Social distancing and mask-wearing are required.
