I’ve had long hair for as long as I can remember, but I haven’t always taken good care of it. After years of tight ballet buns and rough brushing, I finally take my haircare as seriously as I do my skincare.

Since I started giving my hair all the TLC that it deserves (and getting a haircut more than once a year), I’ve realized how much investing in quality products can do for my hair. Now I regularly do a hair mask while I shower, use a heat protectant before I blow it dry, and use a wide-toothed comb on just washed-hair. But one product, in particular, has made all the difference for me — Gisou’s Honey Infused Hair Oil.

Gisou was founded by influencer Negin Mirsalehi back in 2015. Mirsalehi’s family are beekeepers and have been for six generations, so it’s no surprise that the secret ingredient in all Gisou products is honey from the Mirsalehi-family bee garden. And like so many others, once I saw a photo of Negin’s jaw-dropping hair, I knew I had to try out her products.

While Gisou’s product line includes everything from a hair mask to a hair perfume, the super moisturizing hair oil is the real star.

Gisou’s Honey Infused Hair Oil is suitable for all hair types and textures that require some nourishment. While honey is a core ingredient, you don’t have to worry about this oil leaving you with sticky hands or hair.

This product quickly adds shine and dimension to my hair while also making it noticeably softer. According to its description, the hair oil works to heal dry and damaged hair, hydrate it and tackle flyaways and split ends.

I like to apply about four to five drops of this oil evenly throughout my towel-dried hair, but you can also add a bit to your go-to hair mask or even use it liberally and leave it on overnight. This oil also smells divine — think of fresh florals with a touch of sweetness. While this product definitely isn’t cheap, it’s made a real difference in my hair’s quality, so I find it to be worth the splurge. (Sephora offers a mini $25 bottle!)

I’m also a big fan of the brand’s hair mask and perfume. I use the mask when I’ve gone a few days without washing my hair, and it needs some extra love. And the hair perfume smells amazing, so it’s honestly a treat to spray on before I walk out my door. Unlike traditional perfume, Gisou’s hair perfume won’t dry out your locks but will add shine.
