May 17—KERNERSVILLE — Police are investigating an armed robbery this past weekend at a sweepstakes business, the third major crime at a Kernersville sweepstakes location in the past month and the second incident at one business on Union Cross Road.

On Saturday shortly after 11:30 a.m., a man entered the Union Cross Adult Arcade Sweepstakes and stole an undisclosed amount of cash while threatening people inside with a firearm, the Kernersville Police Department said.

On May 5, two men robbed the Skillz sweepstakes on Bodenhamer Street while brandishing handguns.

One man was described as 6 feet tall and weighing about 225 pounds, with brown eyes, short black hair and a beard.

The other man was 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighed about 155 pounds. He had a rough beard.
