Sweet Magnolias renewed for season 4 by Netflix

Netflix has announced that Sweet Magnolias will be returning for a fourth season.
The drama's third season was released in July and became a huge hit worldwide, with all three seasons appearing on the global top 10 list for 10 weeks across more than 60 countries.
Season four will see Sheryl J. Anderson returning as showrunner and executive producer alongside Dan Paulson who also returns to executive produce.
The season will consist of ten 50-minute episodes. There's no word yet on when season four will premiere.

Sweet Magnolias is based on the series of best-selling books by Sherryl Woods, who also serves as an executive producer on the show.
It follows lifelong best friends Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott), and Helen (Heather Headley) as they juggle relationships, family, and careers in the charming small town of Serenity.
Season three ended with Dana Sue and Ronnie tying the knot and following the announcement of season four, Anderson spoke to Glamour and teased what's ahead for the three besties next time around.

Anderson said: "We thoroughly enjoyed ending the season on a chord of hope, romance, and community.
"But while there’s much to celebrate going forward, let’s not forget that a lot of people are still harbouring secrets from each other, people owe each other explanations or apologies… and we have a couple of couples who haven’t gotten together!
"There is work to be done and fun to be had!"
Anderson also teased that a festive episode could be on the way, saying: "It’s on my Christmas wish list to spend the holidays in Serenity, so let’s see what Santa can arrange!"
Sweet Magnolias is available now on Netflix.
