One of the biggest date nights of the year, Valentine’s Day, is coming up quickly, and it’s time to make plans.
Choose from a variety of prix fixe fine dining dinners featuring luxurious options such as duck, Wagyu beef, lobster and lamb to treat someone special. (And don’t forget dessert, of course.) Or make yourself a priority, pre-order a meal and treat yourself with tickets for a Galentine’s Day event or singles pop-up.
Listed below are some ways you can celebrate Valentine’s Day in the Charlotte area. The events are taking place on Feb. 14, unless otherwise noted.
The Asbury

The Asbury is offering a three-course prix fix meal with a modern Southern theme, which you can pair with an overnight stay at The Dunhill Hotel iin a package that includes a bottle of sparkling wine, chocolate truffles, a dozen roses, a $75 food and beverage credit to be used at The Asbury or at The Dunhill Bar and more.
The prix fixe meal menu offers:
Choice of Crème de Parma Agnolotti with sunchoke à la nage; Blue Crab and Smoked Seafood Salad with pickled collards and sweet potato; or beef tartare and beef pâté with focaccia crostini and winter chow chow
Choice of Double Rib Lamb Chop with lamb shank picadillo and root vegetable barley pilaf; coastal catch and low country shellfish stew; or Harmony Ridge duck breast with rice congee, carrot chip and buttered carrots; or five mushroom pan roast with winter squash spoonbread and local greens

Bar One’s Love Me Tender event will offer you the chance to watch a live concert of Elvis music, plus dinner and cocktails. There are two dinner seatings: 5:30 p.m. with the performance starting at 6 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. with the performance starting at 8 p.m.

Choice of lobster bisque, poached pear salad or baby Bibb lettuce salad
Choice of fresh oyster tagine, duet of honey-glazed pork tenderloin and crispy pork belly, grilled Colorado lamb chops or blackened sea scallops
Choice of grilled Wagyu beef filet and half lobster tail, pan-seared duck and pistachio-crusted baby halibut or sauteed Chilean sea bass and stuffed free-range chicken roulade
Choice of chocolate truffle dome, strawberry cake, key lime cheesecake or chocolate hazelnut torte.

Haberdish Executive Chef Vincent Giancarlo and his team will offer a four-course prix fixe Valentine’s Day dinner. The final menu hasn’t been released yet, but look for a soup/salad course, an appetizer, an entrée and dessert.
Price: $70/person, which includes tax and gratuity. Alcoholic beverages, including holiday-themed cocktails, will be sold separately.
