Swimming dog leads to missing man drowned at Pool Pond in Rindge

Jun. 12—A 38-year-old Warner man drowned Saturday in Pool Pond in Rindge, according to state police.

About 3 p.m., authorities were notified of a missing person believed to be in the pond, according to a news release. He was identified as Benjamin Dabuliewicz.

Earlier in the day, the man's dog was found swimming in the water with no one around and was brought to shore. A family member called for help after not being able to contact the man, the release reads. Personal belongings were found at a nearby beach.

The man was located around 5:30 p.m. about 300 feet from shore and was pronounced dead.

Multiple agencies responded including New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol, state Fish and Game, Rindge police, fire and rescue, Jaffrey fire and rescue, Winchendon Dive Team and the state Water Rescue Task Force.
