South by Southwest announced Wednesday that Thursday's free Lady Bird Lake show outdoors is moving indoors because of predicted severe weather.

"Due to inclement weather, the SXSW Community Concerts will be moving the Thursday, March 16 show from Lady Bird Lake to Ballroom A of the Austin Convention Center," SXSW announced. The convention center is at 500 E Cesar Chavez St.

Earlier Wednesday, producers of Willie Nelson's Luck Reunion moved the event from Thursday to Friday because of the forecast.

The free shows at Vic Mathias Shores are a popular event each year during the music festival, an event often with big names and no SXSW credentials required.

On Friday, '60s Brit rockers the Zombies (who played that song you may or may not know, "She's Not There") headline an eclectic bill supported by indie rocker AJ Smith and Afrobeat artist Baba Kuboye, nephew to genre-defining Afrobeat artist Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, who works classic motifs into modern Afrobeats sound beds.

On Saturday, the series of shows closes with a showcase of Austin-based street bands from the DIY music festival Honk!TX, another free event that will takeover Austin from March 31 through April 2.
