Suspect in custody, lockdown at Sylmar High School ending

Sylmar Charter High School was placed on lockdown Monday afternoon as police investigated a report of a possibly armed man spotted near the campus.

COLEEN SULLIVAN: I'm Coleen Sullivan live from ABC 7. We're following breaking news in Sylmar where there are reports of a man with a gun near Sylmar High School. He is believed to be hiding out in an apartment complex on the north side of the school.

And we've just learned all students and staff at the school have been escorted safely off campus. We do have a crew on the scene. And we'll continue to bring you updates as we get them.
