Symphony on the Prairie 2023 will have an Indiana Jones film and popular tributes

Warm summer evenings are on their way with classic outdoor film and concert gems.

Starting in June, Symphony on the Prairie will bring 25 shows to Conner Prairie this summer, including an Indiana Jones film, the music of Harry Potter and Here Come the Mummies. Plenty of tributes are programmed, too, including the music of Billy Joel, Elton John, Whitney Houston and Queen.

Here's the schedule, how to buy tickets and what to know.

Symphony on the Prairie 2023 schedule

Concerts begin at 8 p.m., and gates open at 6 p.m. Film performances of "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark in Concert" will start at 8:30 p.m.

The Indianapolis Symphony will perform through July 22.

  • June 23-24: "The Music of Harry Potter" with Conductor Enrico Lopez-Yañez.

  • June 30-July 3: Star-Spangled Symphony. Patriotic celebration with Conductor Alfred Savia and vocalist Vanessa Thomas.

  • July 7-8: Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark in Concert will show the film as the orchestra performs the score live. Led by the symphony's former Assistant Conductor Jacob Joyce.

  • July 14-15: Arrival from Sweden: Music of ABBA with Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly.

  • July 21-22: Broadway under the Stars. Broadway favorites with vocalists Victor Robertson, Katie Swaney, AshLee Baskin, Jim Hogan and Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly.

  • July 28-29: Face2Face: A Tribute to Elton John & Billy Joel.

  • Aug. 4: Greatest Love of All: A Tribute to Whitney Houston.

  • Aug. 5: Tusk: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band.

  • Aug. 11: The Fab Four: The Ultimate Tribute.

  • Aug. 12: Here Come the Mummies with Rock E Bassoon.

  • Aug. 18: Marshall Tucker Band.

  • Aug. 19: Unforgettable Fire: U2 Tribute Show.

  • Aug. 25-26: One Night of Queen with Gary Mullen and the Works.

  • Sept. 1: Aeromyth: The Ultimate Aerosmith Tribute Experience.

  • Sept. 2: Pyromania: The Def Leppard Experience.

  • Sept. 3: Voyage — The Ultimate Journey Tribute Band.

How to buy tickets and what to know about Symphony on the Prairie

Tickets for the general public, including for reserved seating tickets and table reservations, will go on sale April 11 and be sold at indianapolissymphony.org, Central Indiana Kroger stores and via the symphony's box office on Monument Circle. Patrons can scan a QR code at Kroger to receive a discount when they buy tickets on the symphony's website.

Those who buy tickets to three or more concerts will receive a 10% discount. So will groups of 30 or more who call the box office at 317-639-4300.

Mobile or printed tickets are required to enter performances for every patron except those two years old and under. Reserved, easy-access parking is $40 for each show. Free parking is also available.

Patrons can bring food and beverages and buy treats on site, including beer, wine, and spirits.
