Synagogue burns to the ground in Duluth, Minnesota
A firefighter was briefly hospitalized after responding to the fire at a synagogue in downtown Duluth, Minnesota.
Around 2:30am Central Time, firefighters responded to reports of a blaze at the Adas Israel Congregation. The synagogue was established in the late 19th century and has a membership of around 75 Orthodox Jewish people.
The cause of the fire is not known. Little remains of the building.
In 2016, another religious institution about 3 blocks away, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church was heavily damaged in a fire.
