PLEASE TELL US WHY YOU PERFORMED THE ACT OF KINDNESS (above)? – I like to help others because they would always be there to help me. It also gives others the feeling of being welcomed.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE VIDEO GAME, BOOK OR TV SHOW? – My favorite TV show is “Impractical Jokers.”

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP? – I would be a FBI agent or an Olympic runner.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT SCHOOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE? – I would make it three days a week with no summer.

IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND HOW WOULD YOU USE IT TO CHANGE THE WORLD? – I would be invisible and I would change the world by using it to protect people from criminals.

ALLIANCE 

Aubrey Bonnell, 4th grade at Alliance Intermediate School − Aubrey puts the needs of other students ahead of her own. She is compassionate, caring, respectful, and cheerful at all times.

Alexander Krug, 5th grade at Alliance Intermediate School − Alexander has been a beacon of energy and joy since he first stepped foot into AIS a year ago. He is always smiling, always kind, and genuinely cares for the well-being of others.

CANTON CITY 

Ka'Layah Smith Youtz, 5th grade − Ka’Layah is a model student who really takes learning seriously. With her quiet nature and positive attitude, she is such a wonderful person to have in class.

Hayden Myers, BVA at Mason, 7th grade − Hayden is a great student who likes to come to Mason and work with us and where he is so polite and kind. Hayden has a positive attitude and his smile is infectious.

CANTON LOCAL 

Haley Lazzette, Canton South Middle School, Grade 6 − Haley Lazzette has a quiet personality but a huge heart. She is thoughtful and considerate in all of her actions and respectful to both adults and peers.

Preston Palmer, Canton South Middle School, Grade 6 − Preston Palmer brings an impressively kind energy to every situation. He maintains an upbeat attitude, has an admirable work ethic, and would lend a hand to anyone in need.

FAIRLESS LOCAL 

Grace Hollstei, 6th grade at Fairless Middle School − Grace shows genuine concern for other classmates. She is a hardworking and self-motivated young lady.

Bobby Lemus-Santos, Fairless Middle School, 8th grade − Bobby shows maturity amongst his peers, is responsible and respectful, and has a genuine positive attitude toward school. He is a great role model, is willing to help others, and portrays what a Falcon who SOARs to excellence should be. He works hard in and out of the classroom.

JACKSON LOCAL 

Daiwik Kasini, Jackson Memorial Middle School − Daiwik takes a positive approach to everything he does. He is a high performer in his classes and is active in after school clubs.

LAKE CENTER CHRISTIAN 

Abigail Pigg, Lake Center Christian School, seventh grade − Abigail is a diligent student who treats all with respect and compassion. She sets a good example for her peers through word and action.

Jacob Ott, Lake Center Christian School, sixth grade − Jacob quietly and consistently chooses to do the next right thing as he goes through his day. Jacob plays multiple instruments, is a gifted artist, displays creativity, and is a very deep thinker. Yet, he does not draw attention to himself, boast, or show off any of his talents and abilities. Instead, he helps others, encourages his classmates, displays patience, and sets an example through his words and actions.

LAKE LOCAL 

Rilynn Garber, Lake Middle/High School, Grade 7 − Rilynn Garber has many great qualities. What I admire most is her kindness, self-confidence, character and her enthusiasm. I am thankful there are students like Rilynn that displays positive character, integrity and leadership like she does. I am sure she is a positive role model to other students during the school day because of her positive actions and behavior. Rilynn is a perfect example of a student as to why so many people say, “That’s what makes Lake Great!” She makes Lake great because of her positive character.

Cameron Cruz, Lake Middle/High School, Grade 7 − I have the pleasure of having Cameron Cruz as a Teens Skill student this marking period. Cameron is such a kind hearted, polite and entertaining student. I appreciate the self-confidence, self-awareness and creativity of Cameron. He displays character, integrity and leadership every day that I get to see him in class. Cameron easily brings smiles to the faces of the students around him. Any 7th grade student would be fortunate to find themselves in the same circle of friendship with Cameron.

LOUISVILLE CITY 

Joseph Garland, Louisville Elementary, Grade 5 − Joseph Garland is a hard worker with a giving heart. He will help with anything that needs to be done. Whatever job he has to do, he will do it with a positive attitude and a smile on his face.

MARLINGTON LOCAL 

Riley Wolfe, Marlboro Elementary, 5th grade − Riley is new to our school this year and has met that challenge with a positive and outgoing attitude. She arrives to class with all of her materials, completes tasks on time, and maintains an upbeat personality.

Josué Hagan, Marlboro Elementary, 5th grade − Josué has an amazing work ethic, really enjoys school, and likes to be challenged. He shows his Duke Pride and leadership by being an awesome example to all his fellow younger students each and every day.

MASSILLON CITY 

Aiva Williams, 7th grade − Aiva is a quiet leader amongst her peers. She is polite and demonstrates respect to all. She is a student athlete, takes advanced courses and maintains stellar grades. Aiva comes in early before school to help in a Multiple Disabilities classroom. Her interaction with these students goes above and beyond. Aiva helps get the students off the bus, get them breakfast, and get their day started on a positive note.

Brayden Smith, 7th grade − Brayden is a star student in 7th grade and a great example of selflessness. Brayden gives up his own social time with friends to help students in an adaptive art class. He volunteered to assist these students on a recent field trip, and the students absolutely love their interaction with Brayden. As a student athlete, he is a leader in our school and is a model for others to emulate.

MINERVA LOCAL 

Delaney Sell, Minerva Middle School, 8th grade − Delaney has excelled in a short time in a new school district and is always very respectful to everyone she comes in contact with. She is always the first person to class and goes above and beyond to complete all of her assignments.

Brady First, Minerva Middle School, 8th grade − Brady is kind and compassionate to adults and his peers. Brady is the first one to help another student if they were absent or if they need assistance.  Brady, you are the type of student everyone wants to be around; keep being you!

NORTH CANTON CITY 

Paige Weimer, North Canton Middle School, 6th grade − Paige Weimer just started her 6th grade year at NCMS and has already made a great impression to her teachers and staff. She has gone out of her way to welcome a new student to our middle school. Paige has shown such maturity through her thoughtfulness and generosity.

Nicholas Roberts, North Canton Middle School, 6th grade − Nicholas has demonstrated a great amount of responsibility throughout his time here at NCMS. He has represented himself as being respectful, mature and just a pleasure to have in the 6th grade class.

NORTHWEST LOCAL 

Payton Boyle, Northwest Middle School, 8th grade − Payton is an outstanding student, who teachers praise for being responsible and kind. She is a member of the 8th grade choir and select choir, and is also involved in dance outside of school. She one day hope to teach ballet to young children. Payton is the oldest of three children and also enjoys sewing and crocheting in her spare time.

Jakob Garber, Northwest Middle School, 8th grade − Jakob is a very good student who is a member of the middle school's football, basketball and track teams. He loves sports and though he doesn't yet have a plan for after high school, he says he plans to see where sports may take him. Jakob is in the middle of three boys, and outside of school he loves spending time at the YMCA. He has also entered several 5K races with his mom.

OSNABURG LOCAL 

Kaitlyn Mullins, East Canton Elementary School, 4th grade − East Canton Elementary would like to recognize Kaitlyn Mullins as our November Kid of Character! Kaitlyn always greets others with a smile and a kind word. She has a tremendous work-ethic combined with a compassion for others. Kaitlyn brings joy and friendship to other students in our school. Thank you, Kaitlyn, for being a beacon of kindness for all to see!

Brian Beck, East Canton Elementary School, 4th grade − East Canton Elementary is excited to recognize Brian Beck as a Kid of Character! Brian is consistently kind and respectful to all students and staff. He is an extremely hard worker and seeks out opportunities to improve his performance in academics, sports, and interactions with others. Brian wrote a beautiful and heartfelt monologue thanking veterans for their service that he will be sharing at the Veterans Day program. Thank you, Brian, for being a leader and a light for our elementary school!

PERRY LOCAL 

Hannah Feller, T.C. Knapp Elementary, Grade 4 − Hannah is a student who never gives up. She is humble and kind to all of her classmates. Her friends look up to her because she always follows school rules.

Connor Boudrie, Pfeiffer Intermediate, Grade 6 − Connor is polite, kind, respectful, and focused on learning! He is helpful to classmates and teachers.

PLAIN LOCAL

Olivia Brill, Oakwood Middle School, Grade 7 − Olivia demonstrates wonderful leadership qualities both in and out of the classroom. She is a model student athlete and strives to be her best self each and every day. Her positive attitude and smile can light up a room and Oakwood is lucky to have such a well-rounded young lady.

Ben Green, Glenwood Intermediate, Grade 5 − Ben is always respectful in and out of the classroom. His empathy and care for others is infectious. Ben is an asset to Glenwood, and the Plain Local school district.

SANDY VALLEY 

Stella Hetrick, Sandy Valley Middle School, 7th grade − Stella Hetrick demonstrates great character daily as she gives compliments to lift others, and takes pride in her school and community by volunteering to help whenever needed − including picking up trash! One thing she would change about the world would be for people to stop polluting. Stella is truly a star and she brightens all of her classrooms. She is on both the track and basketball teams and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and writing.

Gleason Pfeffer, Sandy Valley Middle School, 7th grade − Gleason Pfeffer displays character daily by being always kind and helpful towards others. He plays soccer, excels at academics, is a Boy Scout, and is a student leader as a member of the Middle School Student Council. One thing he would change about the world would be to end all of the fighting and the wars. In his spare time, he enjoys activities with the Boy Scouts, stop-motion videos, and Legos.

ST. THOMAS AQUINAS 

Alyssa Stanek, St. Thomas Aquinas, 7th grade − Alyssa is an outstanding student and is very kind to everyone she meets.

Calix Maldonado, St. Thomas Aquinas, 8th grade − Calix is a good friend to his classmates. He a hardworking, conscientious student.

STARK COUNTY CATHOLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS 

August Cramer, St. Paul Catholic School, 8th grade − August Cramer is an 8th grader at St. Paul Catholic School; he is dedicated and passionate about helping others. He served as the Central Catholic water boy and helps the team with various tasks for that last two years, attending every game, including scrimmages. He and his brother also put together bags for the homeless with items such as socks, hats, gloves, granola bars, and hygiene products; recently August used money gifted to him for his Confirmation to make mor
