Syrian group in Greece overwhelmed after shipwreck

Bakri said he has also received several photos, including, children, teenagers and young people whose relatives and parents were searching for their whereabouts.

The calls have come in from countries including Germany and Turkey, he said.

Bakri was waiting to enter the Malakasa reception centre, outside Athens, where 71 survivors of the shipwreck were taken to be housed on Friday (June 16).
