T-bone car crash results in no injuries

Nov. 30—WILLIMANTIC — No injuries were reported in a two-car motor vehicle, T-bone style crash that occurred at the intersection of Valley and Jackson Streets in Willimantic Sunday evening.

Marc Scrivener, chief of the Willimantic Fire Department, said his department as well as the Willimantic Police Department arrived at the scene at approximately 7:41 p.m.

Scrivener said that one of the vehicles involved in the crash had an operator but no passengers. The other car was found abandoned.

"I don't know how many people were in it [the car], but bystanders made it sound like there was more than one," Scrivener said.

The vehicle was found against a building at 10 Valley Street Extension. Scrivener said that the building was not damaged.

At press time, it was unclear where the occupants of the abandoned car went as well as what caused the collision.

Scrivener said that the police had a dog they were using to track the people from the abandoned car.
