J.J. Watt has won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award three times.

He now has a family member that has won it, too.

Watt, a defensive end with the Arizona Cardinals, presented the award to his brother, T.J. Watt, a linebacker with the Pittsburgh Steelers at the NFL Honors award show on Thursday night in Los Angeles.

It was an emotional moment for the brothers, who were able to share it on the award stage with a big hug after the announcement.

T.J. thanked his parents and brothers for their support upon accepting the award.

"You guys have just pushed me so much to be able to get to this point," T.J. said of his brothers, J.J. Watt and Derek Watt, who also plays for the Steelers, in accepting his award.

J.J. Watt won the award with the Houston Texans in 2012, 2014 and 2015.

It marks the first time that brothers have both won the award, and the first known time that brothers have won a premier NFL regular season award (Eli Manning never won NFL MVP, although both Peyton Manning and Eli Manning were Super Bowl MVPs).

J.J. Watt wrote of the moment on Twitter: "Some moments are just special. Couldn’t be more proud of you @_TJWatt Truly. #KeepChasing"

He also called it "a great night."

T.J. Watt had 22.5 sacks this season, while also leading the NFL in tackles for loss (21) and quarterback hits (39).

The 22.5 sacks tied Michael Strahan's records for sacks in a regular season.

Derek Watt, a fullback, also took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the special moment.

"Unbelievably Proud of This Guy!" he tweeted. "I Never Take These Experiences For Granted! Love You Bro #DPOY"

With four out of the most recent 10 Defensive Player of the Year Awards going to J.J. Watt or T.J. Watt, the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award truly is becoming a Watt thing.

You can't count one of them out of winning the award next year either, can you?
