T LABEL's Paris Fashion Week Debut Was One to Watch

Emerging U.K. brand T LABEL showcased its first-ever fashion presentation at Paris Fashion Week. The collection paid tribute to the founder Taylor-Bea Gordon's late father, who passed away when she was 16 years old. For the presentation itself, Gordon takes cues from Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 film, Rear Window, as its showcase sees 17 models appearing within the window frames of Hotel Bastille Speria.

Dubbed "FOR NEIL," the collection draws inspiration from Gordon's vivid memories of a yellow Ducati motorcycle, yellow-flowered playing fields and wedding pictures. Characterized through the brand's signature mesh gloves, white dresses and feminine lingerie the collection hinges on wedding motifs, completing looks with beaded suspenders, WHY? bags and glove tops.

"Our aim for the show was to slow down. FOR NEIL is the first IRL offering from T LABEL after growing so quickly digitally, which, while I'm so grateful, was never our full intention. Bringing our community together to create intimate experiences to cherish through T LABEL is where we want to be. The celebration of moments certainly stems from wishing I could spend more time with my Dad, explains T LABEL founder Taylor-Bea Gordon in a press release.

Using wedding dresses and deconstructed images of her parent's wedding outfits as her core inspiration, Gordon's collection utilizes deadstock fabrics, ex-designer nylons and upcycled beads. With sustainability a core pillar of the T LABEL brand, plastic netting is upcycled from Ducati motorcycle stores, while thread spools come from Craig Green and Central Saint Martins students.
