Tackett receives DAISY award for nursing excellence

LINCOLN – Rachel Tackett received the DAISY Award for Nursing Excellence at Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Tackett, of Normal, was nominated in response to a grateful patient and their family to receive the award.

Tackett is credited with serving as an excellent patient advocate and coordinating pain medication administration between the pharmacy and the patient’s clinical care team to ensure the patient received safe and quality care.

A registered nurse in the acute care department at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Tackett has served at the nonprofit hospital for nearly eight years. She attended Methodist College of Nursing in Peoria.

Outside of work, Tackett enjoys going to the gym and traveling with her friends and family, especially trips to Panama City Beach.
