Taco Bell Launches Hot Sauce Packet Recycling Plan

The Irvine-based company says billions of its hot sauce packets are used every year. Lesley Marin reports.

- Well, if you like Taco Bell, the company is working on a recycling pilot program. The restaurant chain claims more than $8 billion sauce packets are used every year in the US alone. Now, Taco Bells want to give those packets, quote, "a spicier second life that doesn't involve a landfill." The company is partnering with recycling company Terracycle. They have not released any specific details about how it will work other than participation will involve free shipping.
