Taco Bell to open another location in this far north Fort Worth neighborhood. Here’s when

A new Taco Bell is set to open in North Texas next year.

The fast food restaurant will open in far north Fort Worth at 3348 Alliance Gateway Freeway, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation project registration information.

The $1.3 million construction project is estimated to start early 2024 with project completion around April.

Once completed, the new Taco Bell will be the closest location to the Alliance area.

Taco Bell made headlines in May when it filed legal petitions to cancel the two Taco Tuesday trademark registrations, one owned by Taco John’s and New Jersey-based Gregory’s Restaurant and Bar.

Taco John’s gave up its 34-year trademark claim to the phrase “Taco Tuesday” in July.

To celebrate, Taco Bell is offering free Doritos Locos Tacos every Tuesday on Aug. 15, 22, 29 and Sept. 5. The restaurant will also foot a $5 million taco tab in partnership with DoorDash on Sept. 5 as part of its “Taco Tuesday Free-For-All celebration” in 49 states.

Gregory’s Restaurant and Bar, located in Somers Point, New Jersey is still fighting for its 41-year-long trademark to the “Taco Tuesday” phrase.
