Taco Bell’s Quesalupa Is Leaving The Menu Again And We’re Heartbroken

Last year has been quite the whirlwind for Taco Bell fans what with menu cuts, returning items, and all-new restaurant formats popping up nationwide. In early March Taco Bell announced that they were bringing back the Quesalupa but that romance was short-lived and it seems the Quesalupa is leaving menus once again.

Before this year, the Quesalupa was last seen on Taco Bell menus in 2016 aka the year Drake released "Controlla" so you were enjoying the cheesy meal while blasting Views. Since its reintroduction, the Quesalupa boasted a new recipe with 50 percent more cheese than before. The quesadilla-chalupa hybrid features a chalupa shell stuffed with a blend of melted pepper jack and mozzarella cheeses. The shell is then stuffed with all the fixings like seasoned beef, lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, and reduced-fat sour cream.

Unfortunately, a spokesperson for Taco Bell confirmed to Thrillist that the Quesalupa is leaving menus by saying: "Fans are encouraged to satisfy their Quesalupa craving before it leaves Taco Bell’s menu later this month." Although that's pretty vague, if you want to get a new and improved Quesalupa before they're gone it's best to act fast.

Don't fret though, because there is always the chance that these limited-time offers return again later on. Fast-food chains are good at listening to customer feedback when it comes to their menus (remember when McDonald's brought back orange Hi-C?) so we can start manifesting Quesalupas at some point in the future. It's always hard to say goodbye.
