Tactical business selling AR-15 parts, survival equipment wants to operate in Ravenna home

A Ravenna homeowner will be asking the city's planning commission for permission to open a home-based business selling tactical equipment.

Portage Tactical will appear before the commission Tuesday to request a conditional use permit for his business at 339 N. Prospect St. in Ravenna. A public hearing at 6:15 p.m. will be followed by the meeting, where the commission will consider the request. The meeting will take place at Ravenna City Hall, 210 Park Way.

The business sells survival equipment, first aid kits and AR-15 parts and accessories. Portage Tactical's website also lists upcoming gun shows where firearms are sold.
