The Longhorns have won four consecutive games in Kansas State’s Bramlage Coliseum, including a 70-57 win last year. … Coming off the bench, guard Jabari Rice has matched his season high with 21 points in each of the past two games while shooting 56.5% from the floor and making 7 of 14 3-point shots. He hit 4 of 5 from behind the 3-point line in Monday’s 76-71 win over Baylor. … Carr, the team’s leading scorer, has just 16 points on a combined 6-of-20 shooting over the past two games but had 27 points and six assists in the first meeting against Kansas State.
About the Wildcats: Kansas State lost to rival Kansas on Wednesday 90-78, which dropped the Wildcats into a tie for second place in the Big 12 standings. … The Wildcats have yet to lose at home and have not dropped back-to-back games all season. … In K-State’s record-setting win at Texas in January, Nowell had a career-high 36 points with nine assists, and Johnson added 28 points and nine rebounds.
