Talbots, Dress for Less celebrate 10 years of supporting women and jobs

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Dress for Less and Talbots are almost ready for the 10th year of an annual shopping benefit event.

On Feb. 24, Dress for Less is partnering with Talbots clothing stores to support economically disadvantaged women find jobs through fashion. “Shop for a Cause” is an event that shares 10% of proceeds from online and in-store sales with Dress for Less for one whole day.

Talbots is also selling the Empowered Suit, which will donate 30% of the profits of that dress and share them with Dress for Success, through March 3. Customers will also receive 25% off each purchase. You can find out more information here.

Organizers say over the entire 10-year partnership, the amount of funds raised during said events surpasses $10 million.
