The Scott Family Holiday Light Display is up and running for your viewing pleasure. Located at 310 E. Carrollton St., lights will be on from 4:40 p.m.-11:00 p.m. daily. There is a walk through this year and over 157,000 lights on displays.

The Sandy Valley Church of God invites you to join them on Saturday, Dec. 18 from 10 a.m.-noon for its annual Breakfast with Santa. Each child who attends will receive a specially selected present. Presents will be for children ages birth through 5th grade. When you RSVP, please provide the name, age, grade and gender of your child. They also ask that you notify them in advance of any allergies.
The Lions Club is selling SVHS Christmas ornaments of the “old school.” These would make great gifts for alumni. The gold ornaments are $10 each and will be sold at home basketball games, or by calling Carol Snyder at 330-265-6585.
Mark your calendars for the Lions Club Senior Citizens Dinner. It will be held in person on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at the Crossroads Restaurant.
Youth softball signups will be at Shepherd of the Valley Church noon to 3 p.m. on Jan. 8 and Jan. 15. Mail in deadline must be received by Jan. 22. They would like to see you in person, as there will be new different style uniforms and would like everyone to try them on. Late fee charge is $25 after Jan. 22. Please get in touch with the association if you have a conflict with this schedule so you don’t pay late fees.
Winter sports passes are on sale in the high school office.
The Fine Arts Festival will be held Thursday, Jan. 13, 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Hall.
The Sandy Valley Wellness Center is open for walking on school days from 8:30-11 a.m.

Wreaths Across America will take place Sunday, Dec. 18, noon at Mapleton Cemetery. Visit wreathsacrossamerica.org/OH0254P to purchase wreaths, which will be placed on veterans’ graves throughout Osnaburg Township.
Foltz Community Center events:
• Senior Social is slated for Dec. 8, 11 a.m. the cost is a $7 donation. The menu consists of pork loin and mashed potatoes, and the program is the East Canton Echoes. Call the office at 330-488-6500 to make a reservation. After lunch, stay for bingo, cards, games, or to socialize.
• An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will be held Dec. 11, 7-10:30 a.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for ages 6-12, with kids under age 5 free. The breakfast includes sausage or ham, orange juice, coffee and pancakes.
• A swiss steak carryout will be held Sunday, Dec. 12, 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Call ahead to order at 330-488-6500. Family packs ($35) are available for swiss steak or friend chicken. Individual meals ($13) are available for swiss steak, fried chicken or baked cod.
