Since its inception in 2017, KidSafe has worked collaboratively with partner agencies to distribute new high quality safety seats to families having a financial need. All children live in families whose incomes were below the poverty level and in many cases live in families of single moms.

KidSafe plays a very important role in helping to reduce child injuries and death in our community by participating in events that focus on best practices for parents using safety seats and stressing the importance of child safety restraints to prevent injury and death of children in motor vehicle crashes.

Since its first meeting in November, 2020, 100+ Women Who Care has contributed $241,600 to various nonprofits in the local community. Every quarter, three nonprofits are chosen by a drawing from nominations submitted by members. These three organizations are invited to have a representative give a presentation on the pertinent information about their cause.

Members vote to choose the recipient.

Under the leadership of Virginia Glass, a longtime community volunteer and philanthropist, this group of women continues to grow and through their $100 quarterly commitment, has provided much needed financial support to deserving local nonprofits.
