Tampa Bay area pets hoping to find forever homes

Pinellas — Martha

Martha is a 7-year-old female domestic short haired cat. She’s a very independent girl who likes lounging in high places. She likes to cuddle on the couch and have her butt scratched, but only when she initiates it. She has Feline Leukemia Virus and is looking for a loving home to relax in. For more information, call Friends of Strays at 727-522-6566.

Pasco — Bear

Bear is an 8-year-old male dog of unknown breed. Weighing in at just under 75-pounds, he’s a gentle giant. He loves to sit next to his human, lean into them and give occasional kisses. Bear sits on command and walks well on a leash. Unfortunately, he is heartworm positive, but treatment options are available. For more information, call Pasco County Animal Services at 813-929-1212.

Hernando — Tigger

Tigger is a 1-year-old male domestic short haired tabby cat. He was found wandering the bathrooms of a Hernando County building and brought to the shelter by a Good Samaritan. He is very sweet and affectionate. Tigger is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. For more information, call Hernando County Animal Services at 352-796-5062.

Hillsborough — La Bandita

La Bandita is a black and white female kitten. She loves playing with toys and other cats. She’s shy at first, but she’ll plop down at your side for a pet on her back once she gets to know you. She’s best suited for a home with other cats for her to play with. To adopt her, go to StFrancisRescue.org.

Manatee — Trisha

Trisha is a 1-year-old mixed breed dog. She’s affectionate and housebroken. She’s dog selective and would do best in a home without cats. Trisha is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. For more information, e-mail adoptions@mymanatee.org.
