Tampa Bay Rays open Spring Training at Disney

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Rays pitchers and catchers reported to Spring Training Tuesday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The Rays will train for two weeks at Disney before completing the rest of Spring Training at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.

Tampa Bay is holding Spring Training at Disney and The Trop this year because their usual home in Port Charlotte was damaged from Hurricane Ian.

The Rays will play one official game February 28 at Disney against the New York Yankees. They will play the rest of their games at Tropicana Field. Tampa Bay is looking to win its third AL East title in four years this season.
