Tampa Theatre’s October lineup features Halloween movies and events

Tampa Theatre, Tampa’s historic and haunted movie house, holds its annual Halloween celebration once again. The following is a list of movies and activities:

  • Ghosts of Tampa Theatre Tour: Take a tour and hear some of the stories about who or what haunts the theater. $15, members free. 3 p.m. Oct. 13, 17, 19, 24, 26 and 31. 11 a.m. Oct. 14, 16, 23, 25 and 30.

  • Halloween Happy Hour: Enjoy drink specials, signature cocktails and prize drawings. No cover. 5 p.m. Oct. 13, 20 and 27.

  • Friday the 13th: This portion of the film series features 1985′s “Friday the 13th” (R, 95 minutes). In the film, a group of camp counselors trying to reopen a summer camp called Crystal Lake, which has a grim past, are stalked by a mysterious killer. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 13.

  • 13: Game of Death: This portion of the film series features 2006′s “13: Game of Death” (R, 114 minutes). In the film, after losing everything, a man races against time to complete 13 tasks ordered by an anonymous caller who promises 100,000,000 Thai Baht upon completion. $10, $7 members. 10 p.m. Oct. 13.

  • Hocus Pocus: This portion of the film series features 1993′s “Hocus Pocus” (PG, 96 minutes). In the film, a teenage boy and his little sister move to Salem, where he struggles to fit in before awakening a trio of diabolical witches that were executed in the 17th century. $10, $7 members. 3 p.m. Oct. 14.

  • The Wicker Man: This portion of the film series features 1973′s “The Wicker Man” (R, 88 minutes). In the film, a puritan police sergeant arrives in a Scottish island village in search of a missing girl, whom the pagan locals claim never existed. $10, $7 members. 6 p.m. Oct. 14.

  • Saturday the 14th: This portion of the film series features 1981′s “Saturday the 14th” (PG, 75 minutes). In the film, a family inherits an old mansion that houses the dangerous “Book of Evil” that has all the monsters of the world trapped inside it. $10, $7 members. 9:30 p.m. Oct. 14.

  • Mummy and Me: The Addams Family: This portion of the film series features 1991′s “The Addams Family” (PG-13, 99 minutes). In the film, con artists plan to fleece an eccentric family using an accomplice who claims to be their long-lost uncle. $10, $7 members. 3 p.m. Oct. 15.

  • Campfire Stories: Join with Storytellers of Old Tampa Bay to hear family-friendly scary stories. $10, members free. 7 p.m. Oct. 15.

  • Mummy and Me: Wendell and Wild: This portion of the film series features 2022′s “Wendell and Wild” (PG-13, 105 minutes). In the film, two scheming demon brothers, Wendell and Wild, enlist the aid of 13-year-old Kat Elliot to summon them to the Land of the Living. $10, $7 members. 3 p.m. Oct. 16.

  • M3Gan: This portion of the film series features 2022′s “M3Gan” (PG-13, 102 minutes). In the film, a robotics engineer at a toy company builds a lifelike doll that begins to take on a life of its own. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 16.

  • Freaky: This portion of the film series features 2020′s “Freaky” (R, 102 minutes). In the film, after swapping bodies with a deranged serial killer, a high school senior discovers that she has fewer than 24 hours before the change becomes permanent. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 17.

  • The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari: This portion of the film series features 1920′s “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari” (NR, 67 minutes), a silent movie. In the film, a hypnotist uses a sleepwalker to commit murders. Steven Ball accompanies the film on the Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ. $14.50, $11.50 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

  • Carnival of Souls: This portion of the film series features 1962′s “Carnival of Souls” (NR, 78 minutes). In the film, after a traumatic accident, a woman becomes drawn to a mysterious abandoned carnival. $10, $7 members. 10 p.m. Oct. 20.

  • Mummy and Me: CoCo: This portion of the film series features 2017′s “Coco” (PG, 105 minutes). In the animated film, an aspiring musician confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music, enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer. $10, $7 members. 3 p.m. Oct. 21.

  • Rocky Horror Picture Show: This portion of the film series features 1975′s “Rocky Horror Picture Show” (R, 100 minutes). In the film, a newly engaged couple have a breakdown in an isolated area and must seek shelter at the bizarre residence of Dr. Frank-n-Furter. Also includes a live shadowcast. $15, $12 members. 7 and 11 p.m. Oct. 21.

  • Phantasmagoria XIV: A live show featuring “Tales of the Undead.” $26. 2 p.m. Oct. 22.

  • Interview With the Vampire: This portion of the film series features 1994′s “Interview with the Vampire” (R, 123 minutes). Based on Anne Rice’s iconic novel, follow Louis de Pointe’s epic story of love, blood and the perils of immortality, as told to the journalist Daniel Molloy. $10, $7 members. 6 p.m. Oct. 22.

  • The Shining: This portion of the film series features 1980′s “The Shining” (R, 146 minutes). In the film, a family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter, where a sinister presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from both past and future. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 23.

  • Train to Busan: This portion of the film series features 2016′s “Train to Busan” (NR, (118 minutes). In the film, while a zombie virus breaks out in South Korea, passengers struggle to survive on the train from Seoul to Busan. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 24.

  • Dead of Night: This portion of the film series features 1945′s “Dead of Night” (NR, 77 minutes). In the film, guests invited to a weekend in the country share their supernatural stories, beginning with Walter Craig, who senses impending doom as his half-remembered recurring dream turns into reality. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 25.

  • Talk to Me: This portion of the film series features 2022′s “Talk to Me” (R, 95 minutes). In the film, when a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand, they become hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 26.

  • Saw: This portion of the film series features 2004′s “Saw” (R, 103 minutes). In the film, two strangers awaken in a room with no recollection of how they got there, and soon discover they’re pawns in a deadly game perpetrated by a notorious serial killer. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

  • Late Night, Lights Off: A paranormal experience in the dark. Includes popcorn and soft drink. $50, $40 members. 9:15 p.m. Oct. 27-28.

  • Pulgasari: This portion of the film series features 1985′s “Pulgasari” (NR, 95 minutes). In the film, an evil Korean king steals all the country’s cooking tools to prevent the peasants from making weapons after he discovers a possible rebellion. $10, $7 members. 4 p.m. Oct. 28.

  • The Purge: This portion of the film series features 2013′s “The Purge” (R, 85 minutes). In the film, a wealthy family is held hostage for harboring the target of a murderous syndicate during the Purge, a 12-hour period in which any and all crime is legal. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 28.

  • Slotherhouse: This portion of the film series features 2023′s “Slotherhouse” (PG-13, 93 minutes). In the film, a woman wants to be elected as her sorority’s president. She adopts a cute sloth, thinking it can become the new house mascot and help her win, until a string of fatalities implicate the sloth as the main suspect in the murders. $10, $7 members. 3 p.m. Oct. 29.

  • Night of the Lepus: This portion of the film series features 1972′s “Night of the Lepus” (PG, 88 minutes). In the film, giant mutant rabbits terrorize the Southwest. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 29.

  • The Changeling: This portion of the film series features 1980′s “The Changeling” (R, 107 minutes). In the film, a father and husband searches through a magical world for his abducted son and missing wife. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 30.

  • Halloween: This portion of the film series features 1978′s “Halloween” (R, 91 minutes). In the film, 15 years after murdering his sister on Halloween night 1963, Michael Myers escapes from a mental hospital and returns to the small town of Haddonfield, Illinois, to kill again. $10, $7 members. 7 p.m. Oct. 31.
