  • Tamron Hall has a lot to say about the so-called feud between her and Kelly Clarkson—and rumors that she was upset Clarkson's show was renewed before hers.

  • On Friday, Hall issued a statement on Instagram: "I have never once complained about Kelly's renewal," Hall wrote. "I am so happy for my fellow Texan."

It's Tamron Hall's charming, outgoing personality that helped her secure a daytime TV talk show. But at the moment, Hall is tired of being talked about. After The Daily Mail reported sources claiming that Hall "blew a gasket" when she learned that American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson's daytime show was renewed before hers, the host of Tamron Hall took to Instagram make a statement.

"It's ironic that a few days after I said on my show that I've seen 'men storm out of rooms, puffing and huffing, and no one says anything' while 'women [who] speak up [are viewed] as difficult' that someone would leak a false story about me being difficult,'" Hall wrote.

"As I said live on my show while defending Gabrielle Union, women are perceived as 'difficult' when they speak up. "I have never once complained about [Kelly or] Kelly's renewal."

Rumors began swirling on December 6 when the Daily Mail published an article implying Hall was jealous of Clarkson's success. However, Hall is adamant that she isn't as upset—at all.

"I am so happy for my fellow Texan," Hall wrote. "I'm excited about my show and I can't wait for season 2!"

Since her talk show launched, Hall has been open about her personal life as mom to toddler Moses and wife to music manager Steven Greener. She's also opened up often about her work and career highs and lows, including her abrupt departure from the Today show in 2017.

But this isn't the first time Hall has found herself on the defense—or feuding with The Daily Mail. Earlier this year, a headline from the British publication implied Hall once dealt cocaine.

"I never dealt drugs," the journalist clarified to People at the time. "During an interview with Prison Rights Advocate Topeka Sam, I shared a story about a bad situation I got myself into when I was 19 [but] I never dealt drugs." The show was edited "for legal reasons."

It's clear Hall has no issues with addressing rumors head on. In fact, a few days after releasing her statement, the host shared the below clip to emphasize why women like her are often labeled "difficult."

The Tamron Hall Show airs weekdays. Check your local listings for timing.
