Tanker Truck Carrying Gasoline Ignites After Overturning on Arkansas Highway

A tanker trunk containing gasoline overturned and ignited on Wednesday, December 23, leading to blocked highway lanes near Ozark, Arkansas.

The truck’s driver was a 59-year-old man who died in the crash, according to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety. According to witnesses, a vehicle pulled out in front of the tanker truck, causing its driver to swerve off into a roadway ditch. The driver attempted to steer back into the lane, causing the truck to overturn on its driver’s side, the department said.
