Tanker truck overturns, closes ramp between I-95 and Route 295 on Tuesday afternoon

A tanker truck overturned on a ramp connecting Interstate 95 and Route 295 in South Baltimore on Tuesday afternoon.

The Baltimore City Fire Department’s HAZMAT team responded to the scene, and while tanks ruptured in the crash and leaked hydraulic fluid, there are no reported injuries, spokesperson Kevin Cartwright said.

The truck overturned off I-95 South Exit 52 around 4:05 p.m., and the lane connecting the interstate with Route 295, also known as the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, is still closed, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation.
