New taphouse opens in Bellingham serving PNW beer, cider, wine and seltzers

Corner Taphouse, a new pub opened March 14 and serves beer, cider, seltzer and more in Bellingham.

The Fairhaven pub was founded by co-owners Jim Quick and Jim and Carrie Weber. Jim Quick and Jim Weber are close friends who always wanted to go into business together, Jim Weber wrote in an email to The Bellingham Herald.

“When the idea of opening a taphouse and a great location came up, we quickly turned it into a fun passion project,” Jim Weber wrote.

The taphouse has 12 drafts currently on tap, including Boundary Bay’s oatmeal stout, Wander Brewing’s Right Here Right Now IPA, One Tree’s lemon basil cider and Stemma Brewing Co’s orange guava key lime smoothie seltzer. The taphouse also has a variety of wine and other packaged alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available.

Although Corner Taphouse does not serve its own food, the pub has partnered with its neighbors, The Filling Station and Maikham Thai, to offer easy pickup and delivery options. Customers are also allowed to bring in outside food.
