Tarek El Moussa Introduced His New GF to His Kids Before Telling His Ex Christina Anstead
Tarek El Moussa and his new girlfriend, star of Netflix reality series Selling Sunset Heather Rae Young, have made their relationship officially official—Instagram official, that is. While this is a huge step in any relationship, Tarek took an even bigger step this weekend: introducing his new lady to his two kids, Taylor and Brayden. But apparently, it's something Christina Anstead—Tarek's ex and mother of his two children—didn't sign off on.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the home reno expert dished on his new relationship.
"I introduced her to my kids last night for the first time," the Flip or Flop star revealed to the outlet. "My mom, my dad, my mom's husband, my sister. So, we're doing it! Very excited."
Introducing someone to your children is serious business—and we can't help but wonder how Christina is taking it. When asked if his ex knew about their meeting, Tarek revealed that he hasn't told her yet.
"Actually, no, I haven't talked to [Christina] about Heather yet," Tarek confessed. "So, that's probably a talk I should probably have pretty soon. Like, probably today, considering I'm talking about her on TV now. She'll probably find out I think? Yeah, I think I'll give her a call."
The two announced their official labels as boyfriend and girlfriend last Friday on their Instagram accounts, and it seems like the two are really in love. Like, really in love.
"It’s official!!!!" Tarek's Instagram caption reads. "After more than 3 years on my own I’m so PROUD to say that this beautiful, sweet and talented young lady is my girlfriend! I’ll be honest and say I never thought I would meet someone special in my life after the last three years. Then...out of the blue @heatherraeyoung walked into my life."

"The first time I saw her smile she “did that thing to my tummy” and I knew right away I needed to get to know her... so I asked her out!! She said yes😎..." the caption continues. "I just want to let the world know I met someone special that makes me want to be a better man."
Of course, Tarek isn't the only one who took to Instagram for the emotional reveal—Heather did as well.
"My heart is so full and happy," her Instagram caption reads. "Sometimes someone comes into your life and you just know they are meant to be there. This incredible man @therealtarekelmoussa came into my life at the perfect time and I haven’t stopped smiling since. I am so proud to call him my boyfriend, I just look at him in awe at what an amazing, talented and kind human he is."
The Selling Sunset star continues the sappy post by revealing exactly how the two met—all thanks to a boat honk.
"@therealtarekelmoussa thank you for honking your boat horn at me the day we met," she continues. "That will forever be the moment that you became my game changer."
