Target wins more mama love for breastfeeding policy: 'Nurse wherever and whenever you like'
We really didn't need another reason to be more obsessed with Target, but here we are.
A photo posted on the Facebook page "Breastfeeding Mama Talk" has been shared wildly among moms for one Target store's sweet note to breastfeeding mamas.
"At Target, you are free to nurse wherever and whenever you like while you shop because we think #momsrock," the note said.
"But, if you would like a comfy (or more private) spot to nurse or change a diaper, please ask your Fitting Room Attendant about our Nursing Room!"
Way to go, Target! And honestly, it's about time right?
Target's breastfeeding policy is for real
An employee at the Weatherford, Texas, Target confirmed that the note is real and Target spokesperson Meghan Roman shared this official statement with USA TODAY.
"At Target, we want all of our guests to feel like they belong at Target by being welcomed, valued and respected. Our breastfeeding policy, which applies to all stores, is just one of the ways in which we support our guests. Guests who choose to breastfeed in public areas of the store are welcome to do so."
Nursing rooms coming to all stores
Wait, what's that bit about a nursing room?
Turns out, as Target remodels its stores across the country, they will be adding nursing spaces, the statement said.
Now if only we could get out of Target with just the tube of toothpaste that we actually needed.
