Tarte gets beautiful for Pride

Tarte Cosmetics has unveiled a colorful new makeup palette in honor of Pride Month.

The cruelty-free beauty brand has launched its ‘Jessie Paege X Tarte Let It Rain-Bow' eyeshadow palette, featuring bold rainbow-worthy hues of yellow, orange, pink, purple and blue, as reported by Allure. The brand is also using the launch to champion LGBTQ+ rights, by donating $25,000 to the national organization The Trevor Project, which provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ young people under the age of 25.

The palette, which was created in collaboration with the actress, author and influencer Jessie Paege, comprises six matte and two pearlescent shades, and is formulated without parabens or gluten. It is the latest in a run of influencer-led collaborations for the brand, which unveiled a duo of false lashes the Albanian makeup artist and lash expert Foinika Kay (known as ExteriorGlam) earlier this month, following the launch of an eye and cheek palette with the YouTube star Adelaine Morin back in April.

Tarte isn't the only major cosmetics brand promoting LGBTQ+ rights this June: Urban Decay recently launched a ‘Heavy Metal Glitter Collection' in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, and is donating 25% of the purchase price from its ‘Stonewall Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner' to the Stonewall Foundation.
